🎓 Eligibility Criteria
✅ Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nematology / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Plant Pathology / Genetics & Plant Breeding / Botany or any relevant discipline of life sciences
- With 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor's Degree
⭐ Additional Requirements (for Basic Sciences candidates)
- Candidates with Post-graduate degree in Basic Sciences (3 years Bachelor's + 2 years Master's) should have NET/GATE qualifications
- PLUS 2 years of research experience (as per ICAR/DST OM norms)
⭐ Desirable Qualifications
- Experience of working with nematodes
- Experience in basic molecular techniques (nucleic acid isolation, PCR, plasmid isolation, restriction, ligation, molecular markers, etc.)
- Molecular cloning and recombinant vector development
- Genetic transformation of crops (preferably rice)
- Development and analysis of transgenic plants
- Genome editing of plants
- Plant tissue culture
- Nematode culturing
- Scientific writing as evident from publications

- Nature of Post: Purely on contractual basis, time-bound, non-regular & co-terminus with the project. No claim for regular appointment under ICAR.
- Tenure: Initially up to 12 months from the date of engagement or term of the project, whichever is earlier. Extendable based on performance.
- Shortlisting: Candidates shall be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, educational performance, and/or relevant research experience.
- Interview: Only shortlisted candidates shall be informed via email and invited to attend online/in-person interview in Delhi.
- No TA/DA shall be paid to attend the interview.
