Big news for millions of farmers across India! The 20th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana is officially set to be released on 2nd August 2025. The confirmation came straight from a high-level meeting held on Wednesday, 30th July 2025, under the chairmanship of Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The meeting was virtually attended by the Directors, Vice Chancellors & heads of 731 Krishi Vigyan Kendras across the nation, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) & agricultural universities.
Each eligible farmer will receive Rs. 2,000 directly into their bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) during a special event in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to make the official release.
Reason for Delay in PM Kisan 20th Installment
The 19th installment was released back on 24th February 2025. Following the usual cycle, farmers had anticipated the 20th payout in June. There were even media buzzes suggesting a 18th July release, to coincide with PM Modi’s rally in Bihar. However, due to administrative and scheduling factors, the release was postponed.
Now, the date is locked – 2nd August and the government is urging farmers to ensure all formalities are complete to receive the funds without delay.
PM-KISAN: 5 Essential Steps to Get Rs. 2,000 Payment on Time
1. Complete e-KYC
- Visit pmkisan.gov.in
- Use Aadhaar OTP or facial authentication via the mobile app
- Or head to your nearest CSC (Common Service Centre) for biometric verification
2. Link Aadhaar with Your Bank Account
- Payments won’t be processed unless your Aadhaar is linked to your account
3. Check Your Beneficiary Status
- On the PM-KISAN site, click on ‘Beneficiary Status’ under the Farmers Corner
- Enter your Aadhaar or account number to confirm your eligibility
4. Update Your Land Records
- Only verified landholding farmers are eligible
- Visit your local revenue office to resolve any discrepancies
5. Ensure Your Mobile Number is Linked
- Keep your Aadhaar-linked mobile number active for e-KYC and payment alerts

- Go to pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on ‘Beneficiary Status’
- Enter your Aadhaar or bank account number
- Hit ‘Get Data’ to view your payment details
Beware of Scams!
