📝 How to Apply – PAU Recruitment 2026
Step-by-Step Application Process
- Online Registration: Visit r.pau-apms.in and register yourself.
- Fill Application: Complete the online application form with accurate details.
- Pay Fee Online: Pay the prescribed application fee (non-refundable) through electronic mode.
- Download Form: After fee payment, download the filled application form.
- Print & Sign: Take a printout of the form. Sign each page and attach a passport-size photograph.
- Attach Documents: Attach self-attested copies of educational certificates, experience certificates, and fee payment receipt.
- Submit Hard Copy: Send the complete application by post or submit in person to the concerned office (see table above) by 27 April 2026, 4:00 PM.

⚠️ Important Instructions for Candidates
- Hard Copy Mandatory: Submission of hard copy is compulsory. Without it, candidature will NOT be considered.
- Page Numbering & Indexing: Application should be page-numbered, properly tagged, and indexed. Each page must be signed.
- Last Date: Online registration closes 17 April 2026; hard copy must reach by 27 April 2026 (4:00 PM).
- Age Determination: Age will be calculated as on 1 January 2026.
- Age Relaxation: For posts at Sr. No. 19-21, age limit is 18-37 years (relaxable up to 45 years for government employees).
- In-service Candidates: Must apply through proper channel. Advance copy must reach by last date.
- Multiple Posts: Separate application form and fee required for each post.
- Punjabi Language Test: For Assistant Professor posts (Sr. No. 16 & 18), Punjabi qualifying test (50% marks) before interview. For Group-C posts, Punjabi test is mandatory.
- No TA/DA: No travel allowance for interview/examination.
- University Rights: PAU reserves right to increase/decrease/withdraw any post without reason.
- Jurisdiction: Any dispute subject to Ludhiana courts only.

PhD in Agriculture/Basic Sciences/Humanities + 12 years experience (5 years as Professor) + Punjabi certificate.
🧬 Senior Biotechnologist
PhD in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Genetics + 8 years experience + NET + 8 publications (NAAS rating ≥40).
🍽️ Food Technologist / Botanist / Entomologist / Soil Chemist / Assistant Professor
MSc in relevant discipline with 65% marks + NET + 1 publication (NAAS >6) + Punjabi certificate. PhD holders may be exempt from NET with 2 publications.
🔬 Molecular Cytogeneticist
MSc in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Plant Breeding + NET + 1 publication + expertise in FISH/GISH techniques.
💻 Plant Biotechnologist (Computational Biology)
