MGUVV Durg Recruitment 2026: 50 Vacancies for Dean, Assistant Professor & Librarian

🎓 Detailed Eligibility Criteria

1. Dean

• Educational: Doctoral degree in any branch of Horticulture.
• Experience: Twenty (20) years of total experience, out of which five (5) years must be as a Professor or equivalent position.
• Desirable: Evidence of contribution to research/teaching/extension education supported by published work, and administrative experience in the rank of Professor or higher.
• Age Limit: Maximum 62 years as on the last date of application.
• Duration: Tenure basis for up to 5 years or till attaining the age of superannuation (62 years), whichever is earlier.

2. Assistant Professor

• Educational: Master's degree in the relevant discipline (Vegetable Science, Fruit Science, Floriculture, Agronomy, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Entomology, Plant Pathology, Soil Science, Plant Physiology, Molecular Biology & Biotech, Agri Statistics, or Agri Economics) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
• NET Requirement: Must have passed the NET examination from ICAR/UGC/CSIR in the concerned discipline.
• Ph.D. Exemption: Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009 (or subsequent) are exempted from the NET requirement.
• Desirable: Experience in teaching/research/extension education.

3. Assistant Librarian

• Educational: Master's Degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with at least 55% marks and knowledge of computerization of the library.
• NET Requirement: Must have cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR.
• Ph.D. Exemption: Ph.D. holders as per UGC Regulations 2009 are exempted from NET.
• Desirable: Experience in library/documentation work.

🎂 Age Limit & Relaxation

• Assistant Professor/Assistant Librarian: Maximum 35 years.
• Chhattisgarh Domicile: The upper age limit for bonafide residents of Chhattisgarh is 40 years. However, the age should not exceed 45 years including all relaxations as per Govt. rules (F 3-2/2015/1-3, Nava Raipur, dated 03 August 2024).
• Relaxation for ST, SC, OBC, Women, and Divyang candidates (Chhattisgarh residents only) will be provided as per C.G. Govt. Rules.
• Permanent/temporary/contractual employees of the Govt. of Chhattisgarh are entitled to age relaxation as per rules.
