📋 Position Summary

Note: HRA for JRF is paid at the central government rate applicable in New Delhi. YP-II's ₹42,000 is a consolidated, all-inclusive figure with no separate HRA.

⭐ Desirable Qualifications

For JRF

• Gene cloning and characterization
• Heterologous expression of genes
• Basic biochemical techniques and handling instruments used in metabolomics

For YP-II

• Basic molecular and biochemical techniques
• Omics data characterization
• Gene cloning experience

📅 Important Dates

• Walk-in Interview: 6 October 2026 (reporting time not specified — confirm before travelling)
• Venue: Division of Biochemistry, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-110012

🎂 Age Limit

• Both posts: Maximum 35 years as on the date of interview (relaxation of 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST/women candidates, as per Government guidelines)

⏳ Duration

• Purely temporary, contractual — initially up to 31 March 2027 or till project completion, whichever is earlier
• May be extended periodically, subject to performance, till project termination
• Co-terminus with the project — no claim to regular appointment at the Institute

📎 What to Bring to the Interview

• Two copies of the application, as per the Annexure 1 format
• A copy of biodata with duly attested certificates: 10th, 12th, undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and NET/GATE (as applicable)
• An attested recent passport-size photograph affixed to the biodata
• All original documents (for verification at joining, if selected)
• Medical certificate (required at the time of joining, if selected)

⚠️ Important Terms & Conditions

• Only candidates with the essential qualification will be entertained for the interview.
• NOC from current employer required, if working.
• No TA/DA for attending the interview.
• Concealing facts or canvassing in any form leads to disqualification or termination.
• If a near or distant relative is employed at ICAR/IARI, it must be declared in writing — if this surfaces on the interview date, the candidate will not be allowed to appear.
• In case of any discrepancy, the English version of the notice is treated as final.
• The Institute retains the right to not select any candidate, or scrap any of the positions, even after the interview has been held.
