ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as the "Seat of the Green Revolution," is organizing a landmark Industry Meet to foster collaboration between agricultural researchers and industry leaders for transforming cutting-edge innovations into market-ready technologies.

The brainstorming session seeks to convene interaction among experts, policymakers, researchers and industry leaders for collectively exploring the following goals:

Exploring Corporate Social Responsibility partnerships for agricultural research and development.
Creating career pathways for IARI's talented students in the agricultural industry.

School of Crop Improvement

School of Horticultural Science
- Released 35 varieties of fruit crops: mango (10), citrus (6), grape (8), papaya (6), guava (3)
- Developed rootstocks for High Density Orcharding (HDO) in mango and citrus
- Sold over 1.20 lakh fruit saplings covering 372.35 ha in past 5 years
- Offers MSc and PhD programs in horticulture
- Developed 268 cultivars (227 varieties, 41 hybrids)
- Notable varieties: Pusa Bhindi-5 (YVMV resistant), Pusa Shakti tomato (heat tolerant), Pusa Tomato Hybrid-6 (ToLCV resistant)
- Varieties developed for protected cultivation and higher nutritional value
- 966 scholars graduated (522 PhD, 444 MSc)
- Developed 267 varieties of commercial flower crops
- International authority for registration of bougainvillea cultivars
- Research in flower breeding, tissue culture, post-harvest management, value addition

School of Basic Sciences
- Home to Nanaji Deshmukh Plant Phenomics Centre - South Asia's state-of-the-art facility
- Pioneered world's first genome-edited rice variety
- Research focus: climate resilience, nutrient use efficiency, yield and quality improvement
- 424 scholars graduated (238 PhD, 186 MSc)
- Recognized as Centre of Advanced Faculty Training (CAFT) by ICAR since 1995
- Research focus: abiotic stress tolerance and nutritional quality improvement
- Excellent research facilities in molecular biology and plant biochemistry
