ICAR-IARI Recruitment: The Division of Plant Physiology, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, invites applications from eligible Indian nationals for temporary, unreserved positions under various research projects focused on genome editing and advancing climate-resilient agriculture. The posts include Senior/Junior Research Fellow (4 positions), Young Professional-II (1 position) and Project Assistant-I (1 position).
ICAR-IARI Recruitment: Job Details
1. Young Professional-II (YP-II)
- Number of Posts: 1 (Project 1)
- Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- (fixed) per month
- Age Limit: 21–45 years as of the interview date. Age relaxation as per GoI norms.
- Essential Qualification: candidates must have master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Life Sciences or Microbiology with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree (minimum 60% marks or equivalent OGPA).
- Desirable Experience: Rice genome editing, guide RNA designing and cloning, plant tissue culture, rice transformation, and molecular analysis of transgenic plants.
2. Senior/Junior Research Fellow (SRF/JRF)
- Number of Posts: 4 (Project 2 – 3 posts, Project 4 – 1 post)
- Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA per month
- Age Limit: 35 years for men; 40 years for women. Age relaxation as per GoI norms.
- Essential Qualification: Applicants must have master’s degree in Plant Biotechnology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biochemistry, Life Sciences or Microbiology with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree (1st Division). They must also have a 3-year Bachelor’s degree along with two years of research experience. Those with B.Tech + M.Tech (5-year integrated) degrees can also apply as per government norms.
3. Project Assistant-I
- Number of Posts: 1 (Project 3)
- Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA per month
- Age Limit: 35 years for men; 40 years for women. Age relaxation as per GoI rules.
- Essential Qualification: Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines (as above).
- Desirable Experience: Agrobacterium-mediated genetic transformation, genome editing, molecular cloning, DNA/RNA isolation.
