Union Minister Amit Shah unveiled a sustainable dairy ecosystem plan under White Revolution 2.0, launching three cooperatives for animal feed, dung management, and cattle residue recycling.
Key Objectives of the New Cooperative Societies
The decision was made during a high-level meeting chaired by Amit Shah, who emphasized the need for a green and efficient dairy sector. The three new societies will have distinct roles:
- Animal Feed & Livestock Health Society
- Improve animal feed production
- Control livestock diseases
- Enhance artificial insemination services
- Dung Management Society
- Develop scientific dung management systems
- Promote biogas and organic fertilizer production
- Circular Use of Cattle Residues Society
- Focus on eco-friendly disposal of dead cattle remains
- Encourage recycling into useful byproducts
