- Experience in molecular markers and marker-assisted breeding
- Phenotyping of fruit crops and biochemical analysis
- Well-versed with data compilation/analysis (morpho-chemical & molecular data) using MS Excel, R, and similar software
For Field Assistant
- Able to take and record fruit data
- Can carry out fruit analysis, including biochemical analysis
- Well-versed with MS Excel

- JRF/SRF: Maximum 35 years for men, 40 years for women (age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. of India/ICAR rules)
- Field Assistant: Maximum 50 years
⏳ Duration
- Purely temporary, contractual — initial period of one year or project duration, whichever is earlier
- Extendable yearly, subject to satisfactory performance, till scheme termination
- No provision for re-engagement after the scheme ends
- Fellowship is co-terminus with the scheme — no claim to regular appointment at the Institute
