📋 Position Summary

⭐ Desirable Qualifications

For Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

• Experience in molecular breeding and biotechnology
• Proficiency in computer application

For Young Professional-I (YP-I)

• Working knowledge of computer and MS Office
• Hands-on experience in molecular markers, emasculation, and pollination work

📅 Important Dates

• Walk-in Interview (both posts): 22 September 2026, 10:00 AM
• Venue: Division of Genetics, ICAR-IARI, Pusa, New Delhi-110012

🎂 Age Limit

• SRF: Maximum 35 years (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST & women, 3 years for OBC)
• YP-I: 21 to 45 years, as on the date of interview (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women, 3 years for OBC)

⏳ Duration

• SRF: Temporary, contractual, initially up to 31 March 2027, extendable till project termination subject to satisfactory performance
• YP-I: Temporary, time-bound, for a period of one year, extendable subject to performance and fund availability, per ICAR OM dated 04.12.2020
• Both posts are co-terminus with the project — no claim to regular appointment

For SRF

• Only candidates with the essential qualification will be entertained for the interview.
• Application (with declaration) is submitted at the time of interview — no advance submission for the general application.
• If a near or distant relative is employed at ICAR/IARI, a written declaration must reach the Head, Division of Genetics "by 22.09.2026" — the same day as the interview. The notice does not specify a channel (email/post); if this applies to you, submit it as early as possible rather than relying on same-day delivery.
• Concealing facts or canvassing leads to disqualification or termination.
• Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of New Delhi courts only.

For YP-I

• Only candidates with the essential qualification will be entertained for the interview.
• Application (with declaration) is submitted at the time of interview — no advance submission for the general application.
• If a near or distant relative is employed at ICAR/IARI, a written declaration must be emailed to rajeranjeet@gmail.com on or before 21 September 2026, 5:30 PM — one day before the interview.
• No TA/DA for attending the interview. Income tax deducted at source as per rules.
• Concealing facts or canvassing leads to disqualification or termination.

• Filled-in application form (as per the annexed format), with a passport-size photograph pasted on
• All original certificates from matriculation onwards
• Date of birth certificate
• NET/equivalent certificate (if applicable)
• Degree certificate — original or provisional
• One set of self-attested photocopies of all the above
• Proof of experience and publications
• Signed declaration (relative-in-ICAR/IARI format, annexed)
