🎓 Essential Qualification
- Master's (MSc/MTech) in Computer Science / Information Technology / Computer Engineering / Data Science or equivalent
- With at least three years' experience in the relevant field
⭐ Technical Skills Desirable
- Proficiency in Linux / Apache and technologies for Geoportal Development and Deployment
- Expertise in relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
- Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and JavaScript
- Familiarity with back-end technologies like Node.js or Java for server-side development
- Knowledge of API integration to connect the forecasting system with external data sources

🎓 Essential Qualification
- Master's degree in Agricultural Physics / Agriculture Meteorology / Agricultural Engineering / Geoinformatics / Remote Sensing & GIS / Environmental Sciences / Atmospheric Sciences / Meteorology / Civil Engineering / Electronics or equivalent
- With 4/5 years of Bachelor's degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA > 7.5
- Candidates with Basic Sciences (3 years Bachelor's + 2 years Master's) must have NET/GATE qualification and 2 years research experience
⭐ Desirable Skills
- Experience in remote sensing data acquisition and analysis
- Proficiency in using crop modelling tools
- Strong background in machine learning and its application in agricultural research
- Excellent data management and statistical analysis skills
- Experience in IOT sensors / embedded systems for data collection and integration with mathematical models
💼 Roles & Responsibilities
- Acquire and analyse remote sensing data
- Develop biophysical products using satellite data
- Adapt spatial and survey data relevant to crop modelling (soil properties, weather, crop management practices, actual yields)
- Run simulations for spatial yield forecasting model
- Synthesise different sources of datasets
- Develop and calibrate crop models to simulate and predict crop growth and yield
- Apply machine learning algorithms to enhance crop model predictions using remote sensing data

⚠️ Important Terms & Conditions
- Nature of Post: Purely contractual, time-bound, non-regular & co-terminus with the project. No claim for regular appointment under ICAR.
- Tenure: Initially for up to 1 year from the date of engagement or terms of the project, whichever is earlier. Extendable based on performance.
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, educational performance and/or relevant research experience.
- Interview: Only shortlisted candidates will be informed via email and invited to attend online/in-person interview in Delhi.
- No TA/DA shall be paid to attend the interview.
- Original Documents: Will be verified before the issue of the offer letter.
- NOC Required: Candidates employed or pursuing PhD must furnish NOC.
- Canvassing: Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification.
- Jurisdiction: Decision of Joint Director (Research), ICAR-IARI, New Delhi will be final and binding.
