✅ Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in Seed Science / Agriculture / Biotechnology / Botany / Plant Physiology / Plant Breeding / Agronomy or relevant disciplines
- NET/GATE qualified as per ICAR norms
⭐ Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in seed science research
- Knowledge of seed testing, seed production and seed quality evaluation
- Experience in molecular biology techniques
- Good communication and scientific writing skills

- Bring the duly filled application form along with:
- Original certificates from Matriculation onwards for verification
- Proof of age (Matriculation certificate)
- NET/GATE/Equivalent certificate (original or provisional)
- One set of self-attested photocopies of all required certificates from Matriculation onwards
- One recent passport size photograph (self-attested)
- NOC from current employer (if employed)
- Declaration regarding relatives in ICAR/IARI (Annexure-II)
📁 Important Instructions
- Only candidates meeting essential qualifications would be interviewed
- Confirmation mail will be sent to all shortlisted candidates by email
- Candidates must compulsorily furnish the declaration duly signed on the date of interview
- Candidates whose near/distant relative(s) is an employee of ICAR/IARI must declare it as per format
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview
- Candidates are advised to visit the institute website for updates
⚠️ Important Terms & Conditions
- Nature of Post: Purely temporary, time-bound and co-terminus with the project. No claim for regular appointment at IARI/ICAR.
- Leave: JRF will be allowed CL and RH not exceeding 10 days in a year. Regular attendance will be maintained.
- Continuation: Depends upon progress reviewed every six months by the Principal Investigator. Appointment can be terminated at any time without prior notice.
- NOC Required: Must be submitted if currently employed.
- Relatives Declaration: Must be furnished as per Annexure-II. Candidates who have no relatives in ICAR/IARI will also furnish the declaration.
- Canvassing: Concealment of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
- Jurisdiction: Decision of the competent authority will be final and binding in all respects.
