🎓 Eligibility Criteria
✅ Essential Qualifications
Candidates must fulfill any one of the following:
- Option 1: Post Graduate degree in Plant Breeding / Genetics / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Life Science with NET Qualified (CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship / GATE)
- Option 2: Post Graduate Degree in Plant Breeding / Genetics / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Life Science or relevant subjects
- Option 3: Bachelor's degree in relevant subjects with four years Bachelor's degree OR Post Graduate degree in professional courses selected through a process described in any one of the following:
- Scholars selected through National Eligibility Test CSIR, UGC-NET including lectureship (Assistant professorship) and GATE
- Selection process through national level exam conducted by Central government departments and their agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
⭐ Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant experience in pathogen handling / plant breeding / execution of field trials
- Experience in molecular biology / Bioinformatics tools
- Experience in techniques like next generation sequencing

⚠️ Important Terms & Conditions
- Nature of Post: Purely temporary, on a contractual basis. Initially offered for one year or till project duration, whichever is earlier.
- Termination: Can be terminated with one month's notice owing to any change in circumstances.
- No Claim: Selected candidate will have no right to claim employment or engagement in ICAR at the end of the contract period.
- Shortlisting: Only candidates having essential qualifications will be considered for the interviews.
- No TA/DA will be given for appearing in the interview.
- Incomplete Applications: Without requisite documents will be summarily rejected.
